Join Me April 17 & 30 for Worcester VegFest & Women WRITE Now!

by admin on April 10, 2011

Join me for two upcoming conferences focused on my favorite topics: eating and writing!

April 17th: Worcester VegFest, Worcester, MA, 12-5 PM

I’ll be talking about my storied path to vegan foods, to be followed by a book signing for By Any Greens Necessary.  Here’s more info about the event:

The Worcester VegFest is a free festival that brings together Worcesterites to celebrate vegetarianism–an animal-friendly, environmentally sustainable, and healthy lifestyle.  The event features socially responsible businesses, inspiring speakers, musicians, and lots of free samples of tasty vegan food.

April 30th: Women WRITE Now! in Upper Marlboro, MD, 10-5 PM

My talk is titled “Social Networking: It Really Is All About You!” I’ll discuss how I used social media to help make By Any Greens Necessary a national best-seller and how you can make your book a winner, too.  Here’s more info about the event:

Do you want:
~ advice about how to find an agent?
~ to find out how to sustain/improve your writing life?
~ to connect with experts in social media and self-publishing?
~ to understand the fast paced changes happening in the book industry?

Women WRITE Now! is a day-long seminar, hosted by master teacher and award-winning writer Marita Golden, that will answer these questions and much more.  In this workshop, you’ll meet and connect with women writers just like you, and learn information and get ideas that will give a boost to your writing projects.

These promise to be two great days.  I hope to see many of you there!
