I just found out that the new Miss District of Columbia, MacKenzie Green, is a vegan. Her web site says “I’m a vegan and proud of it!” Congratulations twice!

MacKenzie was born and raised in DC and is currently a student at the University of Miami. She’s the president and station manager at UMTV and plans to be a sports reporter. She also plans to become Miss USA 2010. Good luck, MacKenzie!
